Protect your interior

In addition to our top grade ceramic coatings, we offer the best carbon window tinting and ceramic window tinting on the Lakeshore. Window tinting doesn’t just make your vehicle look stylish and sharp. It has many benefits to protect you and prolong the life and looks of your vehicle. Window tinting blocks UV rays and the damage the sun can do to the interior, like fading and cracking. Tinting also protects your skin from sunburn and other harmful effects of the sun’s UV rays.

It reduces heat inside your car when you’re driving or while it’s parked during the day. In the event of an accident, window tinting can prevent your windows from shattering, protecting you and your passengers from the danger of flying glass shards or broken glass fragments. Carbon and ceramic window tinting does not interfere with your car’s GPS and cell phone signals.

michigan’s

state tint regulations

The State of Michigan is very straightforward in the law regarding tinted windows on motor vehicles driving in the state. Any car, SUV, or truck on the road that has outside rearview mirrors on each side of the front doors is permitted to have window tinting that allows 35% or more of light to pass through on all windows located behind the driver. For front windows and windows on the driver’s and passenger’s sides, window tinting is allowed on only the top four inches of the glass.

frequently asked questions

Can I tint my own windows?
Technically, yes. Realistically, window tinting is an exceptionally challenging, precise, and difficult process that can easily go wrong if you don’t know the correct techniques or have the correct equipment. To prevent peeling, low visibility, or bubbles, you should have the job done by professional installers for a smooth, seamless finish.
Aren’t tinted windows against the law in Michigan?
Tinted windows are allowed in Michigan under very specific guidelines. All windows behind the driver may be fully tinted with no more than 35% of light blocking. Only the top four inches of the front windshield and driver’s and passenger’s windows may only be tinted to the 35% maximum.
What’s the difference between carbon and ceramic window tinting?
Both carbon and ceramic window tinting are effective in blocking UV light and sun glare, protecting your interior, and adding structural stability to your auto’s windows that will help prevent shattering. There are significant differences. Carbon particles mixed in the carbon window tint film reject UV light and heat, and provide a matte look on your windows. The ceramic particles in ceramic window tint film offer substantially higher protection in all areas, and a smoother, clearer look on your vehicle’s windows.
How long does it take to have my car’s windows tinted?
The amount of time it takes to have your windows tinted can vary, depending on the type of your vehicle and the size and number of windows. You should expect in most cases that a professional window tinting job will take approximately 2 to 4 hours. Of course, it will take longer for your tinting to cure (or dry). In the summer, this can be from two to four days. In the winter, it might be three to four weeks to completely cure.
